THE BATTLE
An elevator bell dings.
From within the car, two men spring.
At the end of the corridor waits
A solitary figure that holds Their fates.
One cuts it down with a single slash,
Thinking he has ended the bash.
A door behind them opens swiftly.
Who knew the evil One could regenerate so quickly?
He begins to grow, feeding off his own hatred.
Filling the hearts of all with dread.
The earth begins to quake.
The whole complex starts to shake.
The ground begins to break.
A heated battle is about to bake.
The Tyrant stands above the trees towering.
Others run away cowering.
The evil One begins to scoff.
The Two jump in the air and take off.
A girl stops and cries “NO!”
A friend grabs her and says it’s time to go.
The Two buzz around like a gnat.
The One is ready to eat Them like a bat.
Quickly He reaches and plucks Them from the skies.
They cannot hear others scream above Their own cries.
Tighter and tighter He begins to squeeze.
Others watch and beg, “Oh God, please…!”
The whites of Their eyes grow wide.
The group buries their heads and hide.
With Their deaths the world is doomed.
Soon all will be consumed…
THE BATTLE
Part II
Somewhere else a girl begins to cry.
She cannot just stand around and watch her fiancé die.
He has saved her life so many times before.
“Can’t I just save his once?” she implores.
She jumps up and takes to the skies.
Faster, faster she flies.
The evil One is too busy squashing,
He isn’t paying any attention to watching.
As the Girl speeds by a sonic boom chases,
Knocking dozens of trees out of their places.
He looks up and sees her rise.
She rips through his haul to his surprise.
From the shock of this blow he releases his grip,
Allowing the Two to slip.
The Three regroup up in the sky.
The whole world lets out a sigh.
The Tyrants days are numbered.
All of his evil plans will be plundered.
Soon justice and peace will prevail
And vengeance and spite will be of no avail.
But the Tyrant has one final trick up his sleeve,
Something you would never believe.
Only ONE can save Them now.
I’ll leave you to guess if and how.

Another poem I wrote for Honors English 11. This poem is basically a summary of the final battle in T32, a story I am writting.
